We will continue our bird watching and identifying.  I will also try to get a picture of the amazing (but noisy) hawks that have been hanging around.  Maybe mating?!

We have used two great resources during our study.  One, a local bird identifying book for our area and the other, Backyard Pets by Carol A. Amato.  I love this book and the activity ideas from bird feeding to housing!

Happy bird watching!

We love the Cornell Ornithology Department. They have a lot of teaching resources. We've been participating in the "Backyard Bird Count" and "Celebrate Urban Birds" for at least four years and still love it.
